The Breaking Wave
When was the last time you completed a performance review? And did you view it as merely a simple HR-pleasing exercise, or as an engaging, performance enhancing activity? If you answered the former, what needs to change? It is not rocket science that in order to effectively manage overall business performance, it is crucial that we are able to monitor progress on an individual level. A performance review should provide valuable data which can be used as the basis of continuous improvements for any organisation. Used correctly it can also engage and motivate staff to want to perform better.
